Tips for Section 1

These are some tips to help you get high marks for this section:
  • Preparation is KEY.  Before you enter the exam, you should have done a number of these as practice responses. 
  • Know your techniques - you should be able to recognise techniques with an amount of skill by this stage of you English career.  However, ensure that you are able to explain the effect of the technique and be able to explain what is shows about Belonging.  Remember that you can refer to the ;
  • Spend equal amounts of time on each section.  There is no point spending 50 minutes on this section or later sections, as they are all worth the same amount of marks;
